A Few Days Without the H-Man

Thanks to Nana and Papa our little guy went to Helena for two nights. He was a bit grumpy this trip and we think he is coming down with something or he is just in a really needy-of-mommy phase. He has been wanting me to hold him tons lately. So, Eric and I managed two days of CC skiing and it was awesome! Squeakie came along the first day, but I kept her home the second because she seemed a bit sore. She did awesome in the woods and had a great time! There are many, many pictures of me in this post and this is as it should be.

Day 1 Photos
 Squeakie is this refined.
Eric driving first to the Rattlesnake, but alas NO DOGS allowed so we turned back and headed to Pattee Canyon.
 Not the train!
 Eric and Squeakie so pretty!

Day 2
 Me in the truck.
Eric so excited to put gas into the truck.
 Here we go!
 Action shot #1.
 Action shot #2.
 Mega-extreme action shot #3.
Super-mega-extreme-action shot of insanity. I am actually standing still.

The bounty of food and dishes from Nana and Papa. Thanks so much!!

Harvs cutting up a zucchini. Notice the gangster pants. They just naturally do this. It is strange.
See the helicopter? H and E have been flying it all afternoon until the juice runs out. They charge it back up and do it again and again and again! It is pretty awesome! And notice the little pinecone guy. Harvey made that at preschool. He is on skis.
Eric assures me that I don't look insane in this picture. He said I always look like this. H looks darling.
My/our sweet new record player! We bought a Bob Dylan record and a fun German house album yesterday. Being old is fun!

Harvey took this awesome shot of me. He is so talented!

On to the helicopter!
H can actually fly this thing.

These two have been doing this lots today.

Pre-takoff mode.

Rockin Rudys is AWESOME!

Thanks to Nana and Papa Gorman we had a little shopping spree at Rockin Rudys today after our haircut.  Harvey wanted mustaches and then he picked out an adorable little car suitcase on wheels. It is pretty awesome. Thanks again for the wonderful gift!

Harvey's Christmas bounty. Notice Orfo the Orangutan in the background. We have a book with said orangutang so H named his "orangutan" said name. He loves him.
Poor Eric has a toothache :(, but he was a sport and put on the yellow mustache and posed for a few pics.

Merry Christmas 2012!

We survived the end of the world and the Zombie Apocalypses that never came. Harvey had an awesome Christmas thanks to all of his awesome family members both here and in Ohio and of course thanks to Santa. Thank you all for the lovely gifts!

Harvey is off to get a real haircut today. I have been trying for years to do a proper job but I lack the talent to do so. Pictures to follow.

 Harvey really is this cool!
 The family all Salvador Dalied.
One rad elf and one quasi-happy Squeakie.
Trying to add Penny into the shot. She is turning into one fat beast.
Eric the Elf and Harvey the Cool.
We made Christmas ornaments this year. I made this one. Notice Eric and his white beard.
Just let me take a picture of you. NOOOOOOOOO!
Pretty girl of 13. She is pretty exhausted after sleeping 18 hours.
Ghost-like Penny next to a new drawing of the fam that I did this past week.

Harvey let me take a picture of you in your new hoodie that Grandpa Cole gave you for Christmas. This is Harvey's reply.

Pattee Canyon Sledding!

Photos from yesterday! We are getting current here! We took the sled up Pattee Canyon and found an awesome hill to sled down. H went all by himself and after a while he even pulled his own sled up the hill after each run. Thanks again Nana and Papa for our awesome blue sled!

Eric throwing snow at H; awesome deflection!

Beautiful Harvey!

He did about 15 runs before he got cold and tired.

Pretty Eric.

 Pretty Harvey.

Pulling little H up the hill in the forest of beautiful Ponderosa Pines.

H relaxing and loving on one of his teachers during music time at preschool this month.

We're Back!

Since I have started teaching, I find that most of my spare time is occupied with grading papers and planning lessons and not filled with my usual creative endeavors. I am going to try and post one a week like I used to do! So this week I have two posts to post. I am waiting for my phone to charge after it sat in the truck and froze all night. It has our sledding pictures from yesterday! We had so much fun!

These pictures are from about a week or two weeks ago. We took H for a drive on one weekend day when he would NOT nap. We saw the mountains and an apiary and H did fall asleep for about  10 minutes. He needs his nap but he refuses to take one.

H trying to keep his eyes open on the drive.

Pre-haircut Harv eating blueberry pancakes sporting his favorite shirt (even though we do not watch the show).

Christmas tree day! Here is E cutting the end off of our Frasier Fir; we are just so fancy!

Harvey helping to cut the tree too!

H helping with the clean up process. He threw the boughs over the side of the porch.

Christmas lights! Tree and lights in one day, yes we are that awesome.

Squeakie the Elf.

This is apt as Harvey generally looks like a blur during these cold winter evenings.
Cabin fever at its craziest.

Oh Penny! Saucy as ever.

Harvey watching some princess show I am sure.

Self portrait; very nasally.

The house! Great jorb Eric!

Harvey looking so rad checking out the tree.
