"I wanna go for a bike ride"

Tonight we went for a bike ride. Harvey has really been enjoying his bike lately. The weather was just perfect today!
Harvey is really mastering his bike!
At this rate he will be on pedals by next summer.
We had to improvise a basket with a plastic bag. Harvey loves to pick the apples and berries around the neighborhood. He even has to hold them while he rides!

Reading-break Post

Last evening we went to the ZACC (ZooTown Arts Community Collective), which is in our neighborhood, to paint some pottery. Specifically some car pottery. We were in there the other week to see an art opening and Harvey found some cars to paint. So we each painted a car. H is anxiously awaiting to take his home. They still need to go into the kiln. These shots are a bity blurry, I used my camera phone.

Washing his hands was probably Harvey's favorite thing to do (all by Himself of course!).

Starting on Friday Harvey has begun sleeping in a big-boy-bed. This is going so-so as this is a HUGE deal for Harvey.

Back to reading and helping H to sleep happily in his bed.

Crafty Crafts

School is going to be so challenging this semester; HUGE workload. So in my downtime I need lots of creative projects to stay sane. Here is a car pillow that I started a few weeks ago and finished today. It has a purple kitty and corduroy wheels. The front side of the wheels have big orange buttons and the backside has yarn in the centers. It turned out pretty cute (I think). I designed it for Harvey as a Christmas present. Now I have to wait three months to give it to him!

Here is a picture of the car with Penny Lane to give one a sense of scale.

We took our good friend Toby to the airport very early on Saturday morning (up at 4:50am) and H would NOT go back to bed when we arrived back home. So by 11 he started to fall asleep sitting up and holding his granola bar. To cute; Penny decided to join him.
