A Pre-Christmas Present

Great Grandma Cole sent the wee babe a TRACTOR! Yes a TRACTOR! This kid LOVES it. He went to bed with it last night. He immediately went and found the library book we have that is about tractors, this was pretty dern cute!

Here is the tractor book!
Tastes good too!

This is a video full of fun noises, but it is pretty poor quality.

Advent Calendar Adventures

So I LOVE advent calendars and I decided that I would share the fun with Harv this year. At first, being a type A personality, I was shocked and a little dismayed with his placement choices. I can see now that he is truly a genius and that I just needed to lighten up a bit. Can you tell where Harv liked to place his choices?

Last Day of Finals for the Mama!

Yeah! I am off from school for two weeks!!! Here are some fun shots taken by our good friend and babysitter Caty.

This shot was taken last night by Caty. Love it!
Here is a shot of the wee man, pre-hair, with Caty.

Shoveling Man

It snowed last night so I sent Harvey out to shovel the walk this morning. What a good helper.

It's December!!!

Ah today began at 5:45am. Someone woke up quite sad, I believe that a binkie was a fault here. He could not locate it as it was wedged into the corner of the crib. So up we were. I made a loaf of bread and a batch of oatmeal cookies, then breakfast at 7am. Then Harvey wanted to go diaper-less as well as clothes-less. This resulted in a soaking of blankie with lots and lots of pee, and this is still a tragedy that we are trying to overcome as blankie is in the washer. It had to wait its turn as I already had a load of diapers in the washer. Harvey also took a big poop on the floor and he said poop! That was fun to clean up. It is now 9:45, Harvey needs a nap, but will not take one without his blankie; we have already tried. I did try to get one perplexing math problem completed. And her are some fun pictures of Harvey attempting some math of his own.
Hmm, I need to think about this one.
Let me review it one more time.
Okay, I am ready to solve.

So here is the math problem I am still uncertain if I have the right answer:

In certain populations of caribou, the P(probability) of an animal being sick is 1/20. If it is sick, the P of it being eaten by wolves is 1/3. If a caribou is not sick, the P of it being eaten by wolves is 1/150. If a caribou is chosen at random from the herd, what is the P that it will be eaten by wolves?

One of the authors of my math book is in Missoula. Can't you tell?

Still Cameraless-

But here is a photo anyway! Caty has been staying with us from time to time and she took this shot last night after Harvey's bath. So cute!

Well we had a super awesome Thanksgiving in Helena with the Middaghs. Pictures to follow. We are settling back into our routine after what felt like a long break. I have three more weeks of school and then a little break before winter session begins.

Cheers!

Tonights Fun Photo Session

Me and my guy. Love you Harvey.

This was taken a few days ago. Harv is checking out a super neat book that has pictures of babies on one page and a matching picture of a kitten on the facing page. He loves to look at these photographs.
I really love this shot.

18 Month Check up!

Here is the wee man "painting," he did great the first time we tried it, but now he tries to eat the paint.

My little guy is a year an a half old! He is doing great developmentally and mentally. He does not have too many words yet, but our doc and I decided that we will wait until he is two before we get him evaluated. Just yesterday he was trying to say broom! He will get it, he just needs a little more time. Here are the stats:

27 lbs 8 oz 75-90%
34 3/4 inches 95%
48.5 cm head circumference 75-90%

Neighborhood Art

An artist is selecting buildings on the Northside for murals. These buildings are in disrepair or are just really ugly. This is our neighbours and he did a great job. I could not get a whole pic with Harvey as it is in the alley and we had to watch for cars. There is a huge sun on the bottom left and a spaceship on the top right with a tractor beam on a big red cow. It is so awesome!

Pumpkin Patch!

I just love fall! Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch in the South Hills and Harvey had such a great time trying to pick up the pumpkins and pulling a wagon. He also liked to try to run off the side of the hill, so scary! He even let me pull him around in the wagon for a bit. He enjoyed pulling his pumpkin up and down the hill. There were deer around the patch, so it was great that we had some help so that Squeakie could enjoy herself too! Thanks Dab!

This boy needs a wagon!

Lots of big pumpkins!

Fun with Photobooth this morning

Harvey likes to open his mouth so Squeakie can kiss him. Gross, I know! I try to stop this, but I was holding the computer when this craziness transpired today.

We are on the mend

We have been sick since last Saturday. We are both feeling better today as we are both taking antibiotics. Harvey is sleeping well but not eating at all. So I hope this will change soon.

This picture was taken by me on our hike about a month ago.

Sick Baby today

Wee Harv trying to snuggle with Squeakie.

We are staying in today as Harvey is not feeling too great. Today was supposed to be my first day observing 6th grade science. But the wee one has a bad cold with lots of congestion and the need to snuggle. I need to go to campus today to get some help with my math homework as I have quiz tomorrow. I am not too sure that this will go so well; a sick baby in the library for math tutoring. Wish us luck.

Harvey wasn't feeling too great yesterday and is having a hard time breathing when he is sleeping. I ordered him a humidifier online, but we will not get it for several days. He was up at 3;30 until about 4:30 and then up again at 7. I believe that this is his second cold. No fun ;(

Here we are this morning playing with Photobooth under our latest family portrait.

Breakfast with Terri, Larry and Mary! And Harvey's newest feat

This morning the Middagh family (sans Will) took us out to breakfast at the Shack. Harvey woke up feeling pretty bad as he has just come down with a cold :( It was lovely to see the Middaghs and we look forward to seeing them soon.

We had a successful dinner tonight even though I had to feed most of it to wee Harv. We had butternut squash, sweet potato, spinach quiche, crackers and I tried to get the wee one to eat roast beef, but he was having none of it! Oh, and we had brown rice too!

Here is Harvey's latest feat. He likes to climb up onto the table when I am occupied with dishes or cooking. He then proceeds to take a bite out of every piece of fruit, including the tomatoes, while he is up there. He is a silly little guy!

These shots were taken with my PhotoBooth on my Mac, I am still out my digital camera.

Dinner with Caty and an awesome hike all about a month ago too!

Here is the wee man chewing on some keys just looking super cute! Caty took this awesome shot.
Here is another great shot taken by Harv's sitter Caty. We went to Cafe Dolce which does not have a children's menu. So that was sucky, but we had such a lovely time visiting with Caty. We just love her!

These pictures were taken across the street from our house. It is very steep, the first .3 of a mile and then Harvey can walk some of the way from there. He has been riding in a Kelty kidpack I purchased at a yard-sale. He likes to ride in it, but at 27 pounds he is a big boy to heft straight up a mountain. I love this picture because we just got to the "first" top, as this is where the steep first .3 of a mile ends, and I carried the wee man up this yet he is lying down! So funny!

Howdy All!

I have been without an internet connection, a computer and a digital camera for a month now. I have my computer back, but neither of the other two components that are needed to keep you all informed on wee Harvard.

I will provide a quick update as I am meeting with my Teacher today for the class that I will be observing this semester.

Harvey is going to be 18 months old this month!!!! He is such a lovely, big, blond little guy. He is still not talking very much, but I figure he will when he is ready. He still loves to have his mama read to him and he loves to play outside! He loves to get the broom out and sweep the floor and he loves to get the neighbour's rake and attempt to rake the leaves. He has been in daycare for five weeks and he loves it. He has many little buddies his age there to play with when he is not playing with the zillions of toys and going down the slide.

I hope to get a digital camera in the next few months. I will hopefully get my internet connection running this week. More info and pictures to come.
All our Love!

Today at the Park

We went to the park today with the hopes that wee Harv would play in the water. No such luck. Harv just wanted to play with the bikes! We swung on the swings went down the slide. Big laughs from both activities. Then the ice cream truck came. Harv just wanted to touch the truck. I did get him a strawberry cone; Micco ended up eating most of it! She had a fun time too eating everyone's scraps.

Camera issues and Harv Update

Well I have been having problems with my computer ever since I installed some new software. Now my iPhoto is not working and I can not add anymore pictures :( I hope to have this remedied soon.

As for wee Harv, he is growing and progressing wonderfully! He can sit on his many little "cars" and scoot backwards and sometimes forwards. He likes to get on them backwards! It is pretty cute. He is trying so hard to climb up on the couch. He did it one day, but has not been able to host his big little body ever since then. He says Mama when he looks at me and smiles and laughs. He also giggles when he burps; pretty cute and funny.

He is forever bringing me books to read to him. His present favorites are a book about summer and Penguin by Molly Dunbar. Penguin is pretty awesome I highly recommend it. Harv can point out many different items in each of his books. He is learning his colors. He manages to have the entire house made into a complete disaster area in about five seconds. I don't bother to pick up after him until he goes to bed because he just goes around right behind me pulling most everything back out again.

Harvey likes to go to the park and see all of the kids; but he does not like to get in the water. He likes the library and Tiny Tales when we can go. He likes to go on walks in his stroller with his mama and Micco. He loves to point out every big truck and motorcycle when we are in the truck. He still loves his fruit and veggies. He loves, loves, loves mac and cheese. Or cheesy mac as I like to call it. He is a sweet natured little boy and a joy to be around.

Presently I think he is teething again which is odd because he has had all of his teeth in for ages. I think some of them, his molars and canines are finally fully descending. This means no naps and lots of screaming when it is time to take a nap or go to bed. I bought some all natural teething tablets and some mesh things that you can put frozen fruit in and this has helped out immensely this evening. I hope that my little guy starts feeling better very soon.

First Carousel Ride!

Today we went to Caras Park and rode the carousel for the first time! I goes pretty fast and Harvey did great. He kept trying to touch the horse next to us (it was riderless). We rode a pretty white horse and I am looking forward to many more rides as I love carousels!

No pictures as I had to hold the baby.

4th of July 2010

Well here we are on this our day of our Nations' birth. Go us! Harvey was in bed by 7pm and I hope to be in bed by 9. It is cold and threatening to rain here. I thought July was supposed to be hot and sunny. I guess Montana did not get the message. Kim had a few of her school chums over and we had a BBQ. Harvey even ate some bratwurst.

Here is my other Baby next to our flower garden drawer. We have reincarnated an old dresser into our garden. More pictures will follow.
Here are my best guys. I love you two!
Harv, Kim and Lou. I am taking the pic. Happy 4th to us all!
Rocking the blanket. Notice the tiny puppy Max head in the lower right corner. He is SO cute.

Maxie and the babe.
I have no idea what this kid is putting into his mouth here, but Squeakie is very interested.

My baby LOVES his fruit. Here he is enjoying a pear. I think I took these yesterday or the day before.

So handsome! Love you wee man.
